Annette Stube is global Head of Sustainability in A.P. Moller – Maersk. Maersk is an integrated container logistics company working to connect and simplify its customers’ supply chains. As the global leader in shipping services, the company operates in 130 countries and employs 80,000 people. In 2008, Annette established a new sustainability unit at the Maersk headquarters in Copenhagen. A main pursuit has been to integrate sustainability into daily business and strategic decision making. Under Annette’s leadership, Maersk has aligned efforts with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, among others by eliminating trade barriers to allow SMEs to enter international supply chains, as well as on-the-ground transformation towards international social and environmental standards in the ship recycling sector. In 2018, Maersk announced its ambition to be Carbon Neutral by 2050, igniting collaboration and innovation across the transport sector.
Annette Stube is Adjunct Professor at CBS, Copenhagen Business School, and an appointed Social Impact Fellow at Berkeley Haas School of Business. She is a member of the Global Compact Expert Network and serves on the Danish Council for Corporate Responsibility and SDGs advising the Danish Government. Annette is also Chairman of the CSR Committee in the Danish Shipowners’ Association.
